No, they weren’t literally on Jimmy Fallon, but stopped by on the show. Surprisingly didn’t seem like much audience reaction when Jorma and Kiv showed on screen, but when SNL cast started popping in the crown went nuts. WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

Andy also talks about the SNL Digital Shorts and the Recent “On the Ground” video they did.

Jorma Taccone Speaks to People Magazine

There’ s a great little article on people.com where they interview Jorma about his latest film, “Land of the Lost,” as well as a bit of the work that goes into creating some of those famous Digital Shorts we all know and love on Saturday Night Live.

One particular excerpt from the article:
Those popular digital shorts are products of procrastination:
“How do we come up with them? Out of pure frustration. We came up with “D— in a Box” on Thursday, recorded it that night into Friday morning and wrapped up everything within 48 hours. For “Mother Lover” we thought of the idea on Tuesday and said, ‘Oh! We’re going to get this done early this time!’ But that never happened.”

Last night one of the funniest Digital Shorts in a little while has been released featuring Andy Samberg, Justin Timberlake, Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson called “Motherlover.” This is the extremely funny followup to “Dick in a Box.” Five months after being released from prison…. well just take a look. Absolutely awesome! Sure to be one of their biggest hits of the year. I laughed really hard at this. Enjoy!

Andy Samberg Hosts a look at SNL Shorts

Some great news comes in from MSNBC today. The Associated Press released information that Andy Samberg will be hosting a look at Saturday Night Live‘s short films through the years. the show will air on a two-hour prime-time special on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 6pm PST.

“It’s great to be able to show all these great ones from the past to a generation that is not familiar with them,” Samberg said. “For me to do hosting segments and be able to (introduce) ‘Synchronized Swimmers,’ this is not just something that influenced me heavily but influenced everybody in comedy.”
